Anthem Arranging

I worked today on a new anthem arrangement – a song from Twyla Paris called “Holy.”  It’s one of four new anthems I’ve just arranged for Word.  We’ll be headed to the studio to record them in November.  The four songs are all pretty different from one another – which keeps things interesting for me as the arranger/orchestrator.  “Holy’ is a true praise and worship anthem – solemn  and straightforward.  “Fill Me Now” is a Maranatha song which I treated with no rhythm section – just orchestra.  “Here in This Place” is a new song – a feel-good sort of ballad.  The last is a  new song  – “I Will Do the Same” that rocks along pretty intensely.
